Pangea green 110, wheels choice!!
Hi everone

please help with my wheel choice

I have purchased a New 110 X DYNAMIC, for 1st march, and the wheels on the car just now are the 20" 5098 in grey, but i think they look to small

but i really like the 22" silver, and second choice is the grey 22"

please help me decide

Jason

As the saying goes, the choice is yours...

IMHO the smaller wheels fit the look of my Defender, provide better ride quality, and I can park like kerbs don't exist.
The extra sidewall gives you more protection when off-roading too. 22MY Defender 110 D300 S in Pangea Green and Contrast White Roof

FWIW my 110 has 20" 5098 in silver and they are certainly big enough (I have the Wrangler A/T)

The ride is great - previously had a car with larger wheels and the ride was compromised on poor roads.

A lot of feedback infers that for 22” air suspension is a must. Tony

Always thought 22 inch wheels on utility LR look naff and ruin the ride. The RR and RRS can just about carry them off but those are cars for footballers, plutocrats and drug dealers who are all about 'style' over substance. Eiger Grey MY23 D250 SE with bits. Known as Noddy.

The 20s look like a good balance between retaining some off-road capability, whilst still having reasonable presence within the wheelarch.. Any bigger than that and you're in drug dealer country and I want no part of it. Razz

I opted for a more utilitarian look which may make your eyes bleed if you think 20s look small, but means I can drive over pretty much anything without a concern - rocks, curbs, cyclists.

18" 5094s...

Personally I find the 20” rims are the best compromise, they fill the arches reasonably well and still provide a decent sidewall. But I’m also a big fan of the steels

Some of those have their suspension raised. Thumbs Up

At the end of the day, do what you want. Consensus is 20 inch but your call. Thumbs Up

This is 22 inch with raised suspension.

If you like the steelies but think that they are too small (IIRC the rolling diameter of all the wheel/tyre combos for Defender is the same, just the sidewall is smaller the bigger the wheel) then there is now the wheels from the County (note NOT Country pack!) pack that are 20” white alloys that look like the steelies. Not sure if you can buy them aftermarket or separate from the rest of the County pack yet though
