Air intakes
Just noticed that the front air intakes look different on each side, is this normal as one is exposed and the other not?

l would imagine that one is the actual air intake and the other is fake, as on the old Defender

Thanks lightning that really helps - the car's back in the workshop in Jan and I wanted to make sure I didn't ask them to look at something that doesn't need looking at!

D300 has radiators on both sides, I think the D200 and potentially the D250 just have it on one side.
Someone has mentioned it on this forum 22MY Defender 110 D300 S in Pangea Green and Contrast White Roof

Normal.

Stupid design, but sadly very common on modern cars to put radiators down there in harms way.

Whatever is there will be normal.

On some models there will be something on both sides while on others there won't.

Not had any issues with radiators (or anything for that matter) getting damaged on my 90 D250 and it's been off road many times.

Maybe someone should market a mesh grill to go over the intake. ln fact l am surprised nobody has, they seem to be concentrating on cup holders, spoilers and other such cosmetic add-ons
