Going to 73mm from factory 95mm rear lights
Good day All,

I haven't yet taken delivery hence asking as it's not 100% clear from the pics.

The Defender I purchased came with the bright pack which as you can see, adds a silver roof and clear lenses all around, with the rears being 95mm. Excuse my ignorance but is this the NAS light set up I keep reading about?

I am looking at ordering in coloured LEDs for the rear and reverting to the 73mm and I've got a few questions.

1. From the many threads I've read I am lead to believe that the 73mm will screw right in with the existing holes. Is this correct?
2. Do I need plinths for the 73mm lights or is that just for the fog and reverse?

The larger lights are mounted on a plinth, while the smaller lights fit right onto the body.

Everything is readily available in various degree of quality.

Some butcher the situation by screwing cheap plastic fittings into the body work, leading to misaligned and unnecessary holes. Also absolutely no need to cut of the electrical connections, if they don't fit you bought the wrong lights.

So no plinth needed then.

Am I correct in thinking I won't have to drill new holes for the smaller lights? I want to avoid this at all cost of course.
