Less choice
Ordered 90SE P300 28/10/23. Picked up from dealer 26/4/24.
Spare wheel cover and black chequer plate still to come.

Anyone know why there is now fewer models to choose from now eg P300 no longer there?

Parts shortage and higher profit margins on the higher spec models. The base diesel 90 is now HSE which in 2021 when 90 was launched it was top spec or near enough. 24MY 90 D250 HSE, Tasman Blue

My experience with my second Defender p400e XD HSE (albeit a replacement for a rejected one!) is:

Ordered 13th March
Built 24th April
Delivered to dealer 7th May

This was much quicker than I expected, but it could be because of the last few slots on the MY24.5 p400e as you can't order this in the UK anymore. They have detuned the engine to a p300e to comply with the pesky Euro 6e emissions legislation! Not sure I would have gone ahead with the p300e as I love the engine response in the p400e.

So mine was built on the 1st May which is a good turnaround, but because I had asked to pick it up after a holiday they did not ask for it to be shipped over yet. Have now asked for confirmation it will be ready for the requested date.

I still find all this a bit odd not getting updates until requested.

Also, anyone else started getting random range rover feature emails? 24MY 110 p400e HSE in Tasman Blue

About the detuning - is this something the dealer told you before collection? Has this affected the power output?

Mine is built and I'm less than a month from collection and would love to be informed about this stuff before I take delivery. 24MY 110 p400e HSE in Tasman Blue
