Ireland 2014 Defender 90 Puma 2.2 HT Corris Grey
18'' Sawtooth wheel centre bore size
Hello all....first post here. Long term Land Rover owner - with a couple of Series 1, a Series 2A SW, Series 3's and now into a later 2014 Defender.

I want to put a set of the Sawtooth alloys on, and rang a place local to me to order a set....only to be met with "Nope mate, they don't fit your Defender - your hub is 114.3 and the wheels are 113.1mm"

As there are lots of Defenders out there with these wheels can someone just confirm that the spec below does fit. I did a search on the forum and have seen these dimensions posted as wheels people have fitted:

18'' Landrover Defender Style Wheels
Diameter: 18 Inch
Width: 18 x 8 Front And Rear
Offset: 10
Centre Bore: 113.1
PCD: 5 x 165.1
Colour: Gloss Black

Many thanks!

Welcome to the forum.

That’s very strange as unless I am mistaken they only fitted Sawtooths to the Puma’s and I am sure the ones that had them fitted didn’t have different hubs.

Maybe someone else knows more than me but it begs the question what do they fit if they won’t fit a Puma?

Sorry, can’t be any more help.

On my 2013 Xs Puma 110 with factory sawtooths the size is 16 inch not 18. I’m assuming you want 18inch for look or to fit larger callipers.

Yes, just for the look. I have the 16 inch boosts on it at the moment, and have looked at both the 16 and 18 Sawtooths. The 18's will still leave a good height tyrewall for a nice look.

I guess I must be into rubber as a look Rolling with laughter as I’ve 255/85 BFG MTs on my 16 inch sawtooths !

Ps This is worth a read when purchasing sawtooths https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic39161...t=sawtooth

Yes, they definitely need a good height sidewall /amount of rubber to look well....so I'll not put 26" spinners on it....18" will be the max....😃😃

Thanks for the link to the thread....I have read that thread alright - along with a few hundred other threads on the 2.2/2.4 Pumas before making the purchase last month. Alot of great info on here.

I'll buy the wheels from a reputable place near me so if I end up dead upside down in a ditch on my first drive I'll know where to go to put in a strongly worded complaint...😬...!
