The dates on first aid equipment are related to the packaging- it reflects how long the manufacturer is willing to guarantee the integrity of the packaging maintaining sterile conditions.

If you are concerned about waste, please hand the pack onto a First Aid training company. They will be only too pleased to use out of date stuff for training- I know we are!
