I'm recommissioning this machine having been on SORN for 3 years. The engine oil is as fresh looking as when it was laid up, is there any need to change it before re-registering? It was serviced not long before lay-up. Thanks

Maybe undo the sump plug and run some oil out before you do anything. Any water and crud should be in the bottom. Then top up and run, then change after say 500 miles.
