Could be the LF antenna in the rear bumper. ( Do not remember that it is in the loadspace ,but not sure anymore)

Thanks. Look's like it's behind the rear bumper. That's annoying, I should have checked before I re-installed the bumper. Sigh.

This was insightful! I've been having a similar issue on a new to me 2020 110 but I also have issues intermittently opening the tailgate when the vehicle is already unlocked. Does the vehicle need to detect a key at the rear to open the tailgate? Or is this an unrelated issue?
My rear bumper has a crack in it right on the corner by the sensor and I wonder if whatever did that with the previous owner damaged the sensor? I've been meaning to take the bumper off and replace that corner, so I'll take a look at the sensor as well. And add the rear recovery points while I'm at it! |

Follow up - my issue appeared to be the bolts for the latch mechanism backing out making a weird situation for the tailgate. Tightened up the bolts and all is good. They were backed out more than I would have expected. I tested the door handle button circuit and it had great continuity during the tests. Tightening the bolts and it’s all good.
