Headlight issues
Good morning
Just a quick question!
I have a headlight issue with my TD5 110
So the main issue is that the dip beam works in the first position on the headlight switch, but when the switch is moved to the second position, they go off, but when the main beam is activated, it puts both dip and main on. Then, when the main beam is turned off, it goes back to just side lights, even in position two. To gain the dip beam again, you have to pull the switch back to position one
So everything is working, but not in the correct way, if that makes sense!

I have tried again, and if you switch the main stalk to full beam, I can use the small stalk to control the main and dip
I have changed both the headlight and the main beam stalk, and there’s no change
Thanks in advance

Double check the H4 3pin headlight connectors, these corrode and can cause such problems.

Replacement ceramic connectors are available for circa £3 if found to be faulty.

Check your relays to make sure they are working and seated correctly.

Also read this on the dim dip relay, associated issues and fixes.

Amazing!!

Thanks so much, I'll have another look. I had found that relay and wiggled it which worked for a while, but that could quite possibly be my issue.

Thanks again
