Broken power steering bracket
I found my power-steering pump loose and bracket broken on my 2007 Defender 2.4.
It looks like the workshop, when with the previous owner, didn’t tighten the fasteners properly: several screws were loose (one was broken, one missing) and the loose screws were 5 mm shorter than listed as far as I can see according to the on the item list on Scuderia.
I’m looking into replacing the bracket and was informed by Jaguar & Land Rover Classic Parts that QVU500360 has been superseded by LR031916. I have googled the part number and it sees like the broken section is no longer there 🙄.
Can someone confirm that LR031916 does not include the broken piece present on my bracket? If it’s the same design, it would make more sense to reinstall the existing bracket with the correct screws and torque. Unfortunately, Jaguar & Land Rover Classic Parts, could not confirm 🤔.
