Changing the oil, a question
When you change the oil and filter, is there a procedure or "service mode" where the engine turns for a short time without firing to build up oil pressure, or is it okay to just start it.

l have to admit l've changed the oil on many vehicles and just started the engine. On my old TD5's it took a second for the oil pressure light to extinguish and l never liked it, although it didn't seem to do any harm.

I always prime the new oil filter before. That's all you can do. No Mud flaps for my 90.!

You can prime the filter before you put it in, so it is soaked and will flow a little faster by first startup. No Mud flaps for my 90.!
