Smiths manufacture one for the TD5 - https://www.smiths-instruments.co.uk/produ...achometer/
I'm don't know whether Smiths or VDO was the OEM, but you may be able to find cheaper than genuine? |

From what I can tell, the Smiths is a copy of the OE VDO. Some people have complained that the illumination is a lot brighter than the other standard gauges though.
The cheapest I can find it so far is at Rimmer for £189.. I was hoping that someone had one in their drawer of unwanted parts for a tenner |

If you are overly keen on form rather than function, you could get one of the £20 eBay ones and see if you can't, somehow, add the "td5" logo to the inside, and change the bulb colour.
I have a £20 one on my 300tdi. The AMR whatever it is is silly money. The eBay one is functionally perfect, and visually - well I'm not sure anyone would ever notice unless they were looking out for it! |
