Bike rack
Are there any solutions for a decent rear-mounted bike rack that aren’t ridiculously expensive? Looking to carry two normal mountain bikes, nothing special.

Thule do one that will be north of £700 once the spare wheel adaptor is added on.

Halfords ones seem to get variable reviews?

Has anyone made one that bolts onto the towbar? Can buy a lot of steel for that money!

I have a witter bike carrier with towbar extension that allows me to carry 4 adult bikes and tilts down to open tailgate

I have the same setup, but if I try to drop them back the spare wheel adaptor bar hits the spare wheel. Then the tailgate can't be opened.

Have you fitted a tow bar extender or have you done something else?
