I've had good 2.2s and 2.4s, and bad 2.2s and 2.4s - as others have said I'd concentrate on finding a good example foremost

The 2.2s have DPF so like to be driven properly every so often to enable the regen, but the 2.4s already had EGR anyway so they all benefit from a bit of love where airflow is concerned

Main difference to me is that the 2.2s sound a bit nicer (with a nice bit of intake growl if you have the driver's window open!)
