Body shop recommendations in the North West
Hi, can anyone recommend a good, honest, reliable and sensibly priced bodyshop to respray a 90 50th anniversary ie doing a proper job of splitting panels, seals etc and not just a paint over. A friend has one with a sound chassis, but showing normal defects in body paint.

Anywhere in the North West circa 50mile radius to Chester

Many thanks👍

I have used Auto Accident repair in Wallasey in the past for replacing and painting 2 wings on a Defender and also replacing and painting the front end of a San Marino BMW M4.
Kevin is very experienced and knowledgeable. I don’t have any connection to them but they are excellent and not a cheap paint shop. Chips away recommended them.
They have a website for info.

Quick question Bob and sorry for the slight thread hijack…

When painting the wings did they separate/unbolt the seams or just spray into the ‘gap.’

They replaced both outer wings with OEM versions. Both wings had some bubbling/ corrosion at the bottom so the decision was taken to replace rather than attempt a repair . They blended the paint being Orkney Grey to cover each side through to the doors. The result was excellent but expensive .
The BMW being San Marino colour is very difficult to colour match but they sorted it.
