Mohair Canvas Fixing - stud/popper type
I will be embarking on fixing Tenax Fasteners to my cappings. The thread size is 2ba and ideally I would like to drill and use a rivnut.

Does anyone know if there are 2ba rivnuts or what they are called please.

Here is a pic of the fastener.

it might be easier to get the studs in a metric threaded size then get rivnuts to fit.

I drilled and tapped the capping, it’s easy enough and the capping gives probably 3-4mm of thread. The curve does make it more difficult to get all of them sitting perfectly straight though

Being curved you wouldn’t get a riv nut to sit flush so would always look a bit strange in my opinion

Paul, the tenax fasteners are pretty old school and pretty sure they are all in ba threads, I think they do make some with holes to allow you to use your own fasteners.

Why not drill (number 22, though 4mm should suffice) and tap 2BA thread?
