Where Is Pivi Pro Software Stored?
Can someone enlighten me on where Pivi Pro software (and upgrades) are actually stored? The infotainment screen module or another separate hardware device connected to the infotainment screen? I am asking only because I am considering upgrading the original 10" screen to an aftermarket 13.3" screen and wanted to understand the software programming impact (if any) beforehand.

First, welcome to the forum. I can’t tell you exactly were the Pivi software is stored. I can tell you that is not stored in the display. It sounds like you are considering one of the Chinese 13.3 inch displays. I purchased one last year and am quite pleased and impressed with the quality and sharpness of the unit. There is a thread here: https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic89297.html that discusses upgrading the display. The last few pages cover upgrading to 13.3 using the unit purchased in China. If you are considering it, I strongly recommend it. For about $600 you will get a display, superb mounting bracket, and just about everything you need. And they Wii send it out to you via air freight. I’ve had to factory Pivi updates since I installed mine and have had no issues at all.

Good luck!

ThunderBob,

You are exactly right. I'm upgrading the original 10" screen to the aftermarket 13.3 screen by Wimafun. Ordered through AliExpress on 4/16 and got it yesterday, $550 all inclusive. Very impressed with build quality so far. Gonna install today and see how it goes. Thumbs Up

$600 retail including shipping for the display and bracket?

lt shows how much these actually cost to make! How much does LR charge for an OE. l bet they are made in the same factory.

Don't believe it...when it was a configuration option on the LR website, it cost much less than that!! Defender 110 SE I6 D250 23MY
