How to fit roof tent…

I have got a roof rack with vertical bars… the roof tent won’t sit on the horizontal bars just for a few mm…any suggestion on how to fit the roof tent on the on the roof rack?

Add crossbars between the tent and rack?

I certainly need something like that. Non sure I’ll manage to fit crossbar while the roof rack is on.
Drill the bar would be an option? Would it hold the weight after?
