Google says a fog light became mandatory on vehicles manufactured after 1st October 1979.
It would be easy enough to fit one using a bracket hanging off one of the grab handle bolt holes. It’s a bit like retro fitting indicators to Series 1’s without drilling any body panels. |

Yes I agree easy enough to fit, just might not have enough time before the test. I suppose I could chance it and do a retest
Although I would fit them, I don't think I would ever use them. I recall during my driving exam (a long time ago) I learned that visibility needs to be less than 50m (150ft) before you are allowed to use the rear fog lights. I don't think would be driving my series (or any other car) in fog with less than 50m visibility that is seriously thick fog! |
