Bulbs going black usually is an indication of a poor earth. 2008 RS4 gone, 123d M Sport, and a Puma 90 XS..

Clean all the contacts in the bulb holders and clean the bulb stem and lead live contact too... if that doesnt work it may be the wiring but on a Puma i doubt it. 2008 RS4 gone, 123d M Sport, and a Puma 90 XS..

I changed all my front lights with new Hella 5W and they have not blown yet... maybe LR buy low quality bulbs as standard? My old Discovery 2 used to blow dipped beam lights at the front and it was a grille and headlight off job and the Hella replacements seemed to last longer. 2008 RS4 gone, 123d M Sport, and a Puma 90 XS..

As above post ... my work used to buy cheapest bulbs going .. all used to black over time [sometimes within months]

They finally changed to suppling Hella bulbs last year - end of problem, rarely find a blackened one now.

I think its down to quality of the gas used Guns and Landrovers .... anything else is irrelevant.
