rear 90 bench seats head rests
has anyone come up with a solution for head rests in the back of a 90 with bench seats?

Edited to add, if its not xalled a head rest, I would like ideas for something you couodcrest your head on above a rear sideways bench seat.

It's a hard top.

one thought is a 2nd back upright fitted higher.

just wondering what other have done Cheers

You could make a cushioned strip bolted each side of the side window. About six inches wide with foam covered in any material that takes your fancy. 1982 88" 2.25 diesel

For what purpose? Remember they aren't rests, as in lay your head on. It is an abbreviation of restraint. Design to prevent you head going backwards causing a neck injury in a rear end collision. The same scenario doesn't exist with side facing seats and especially if the occupant is free floating (not strapped to the seat).

Obviously people could still hit the back of their heads on the inside of the vehicle. Is the 90 a hard top or does it have windows in the sides?

Sort of connected to the above.
In 1990 we bought a Land Rover 90 turbo diesel hard top. We had bench seats in the back. When our second daughter was born in late 1995 she had special needs which included "floppy doll syndrome".
She had no upper body strength and I was unable to put her in a side facing baby seat like our other daughter. We got a Defender 110 200 tdi pickup and had it converted into a 9 seat station wagon. This meant the baby seats were fixed in the middle row facing forward.
Still have the 200 tdi 110. Too much family history and memories to let it go. 1982 88" 2.25 diesel
