Because I already have a big long reach high lift trolley jack, I decided to try something different.

I got it at a better price off eBay. I decided on the one without the long handle as I have limited space.

Here it is in action.

You can hear my compressor cutting in during the lift so it will lift the front of a 110 with about 85 psi which is where the compressor starts to refill. It's just a regular workshop compressor with a max pressure of 110 psi.

Bear in mind they can go bang with catastrophic consciences and mechanical jacks can fail as well.

Air bags blowing on HGV’s have killed many a person that has been in the wrong place and at that particular time.
So long as underneath is kept clear at all times, then things should be okay but just bear it in mind.
These things happen in a split second, just the same as a vehicle roll over, or run away. Diesel$ Live$ Matter. ⛽️🛢️👨‍🔧🧰⚙️ RED, WHITE & BOOST! 🇬🇧

As above , and regarding that particular one, I’m not keen on the location of the controls as you have to be under the vehicle to start the lift and to start the lowering, plus be in very close proximity to the airbag during those operations.

My old jack gave in after many years of use so i had to find another one to replace it, i ended up getting a 2 & 3 tonne SGS jacks, the 2 tonne lives in it's case it came with, no problems so far with them Very Happy 1996 Golf Blue 300Tdi 110 Pick up. Keeper.

I have a selection of trolley jacks but find myself using the power built bottle jack more and more for working on 4x4s it’s very sturdy and with the added safety of a jack stand once it’s up.

I went for the compact design as I have limited space. There are other variants of the air jack with a long handle that has the controls.
