[For Sale] 88inch Land Rover Series 2 3.5 V8

Here we have my 1960 Series 2 with a rover 3.5 V8 believed to be SD1. Before you shout it’s a series 3, when I got it, it had a series 3 bulkhead and wings and have kept it that way due to lack of decent replacements at the time of rebuild.

I am only the second owner from new it was a good friend of mines dads, so has had a few incarnations, diesel, petrol and now petrol V8.

Rebuilt 7 years ago and garage ever since, used a bit in the 1st couple of years and then I rebuilt my 90 so that does most duties now, so hence this is for sale. Also a young family so time is limited.

Solid chassis and bulkhead

Rebuilt axles with 3.54 diffs (have the original diffs to go with it)

Series 2 “crash box”

Steve Parker exhaust

Hand painted bronze green

Few jobs that need sorting on be honest, which I could get sorted or am open to negotiations.

Exhaust downpipe to manifold has slight leak

SU carbs need setting up properly

Clutch drags slightly/clutch release bearing is noisy.

Bit of play in front prop and rear half shafts.

could do with a bit of tidying, as you would expect for a 64 year old.

I know I will regret it in years to come but I just don’t get the use out of it and have other projects on he go that funds can go towards.

Very nice

It would of course be nicer still if it hadn't had all those SIII bits fitted, but that is the sort of thing we did back then.
