Where have you mounted your Twin ARB Compressor
I temporarily mounted my dual ARB Compressor under the rear seats in the 110 but the huge bulk of wires from the battery box running to the rear is a mess and quite a sizeable bundle. Curious how others have it mounted and have run the cables before I reinvent the wheel here LOL

I can't help where to place the hardware as we have a Freelander.

She obviously found the 10mm socket!

Here is one of wife cleaning!

Get an air tank if you don't have one. When you are between tyres the tank is filling. Then you are getting a bit ahead.

Two more single ARB compressors under the seat, so 3 in total. Also a high capacity 120mm computer fan for more cooling.

Modified with internal & external heatsinks to get the heat out as soon as possible. Without this the air straight out of the compressor is seriously hot & will destroy air hose over time.

Aftercooler & moisture trap.

My Freelander has 255/60r18 tyres. The 3 compressors take about 28 seconds to inflate a tyre from 20psi to 35psi, the moisture trap regulator shows about 112psi while inflating.

The aftercooler is 2 small oil coolers. I can also put it in the fridge as well. The 3 compressors use 70 to 90 (cut off at 135psi) amps according to my clamp Meter, so make sure you use heavy enough cable. I use 4awg cable, did have 6awg but it had too much resistance for the length of cable. The best place for an after cooler is before an air tank, but I couldn't fit it anywhere, so it "floats" around the car as we sleep in the back. The after cooler unclips from the Festool box. The colder the compressed air, effectively you have slightly higher capacity as air is more dense the cooler it is.

I replaced the ARB connectors with Euro connectors. Everything clips together so I can easily drain water. Compressors are all on quick release Manfrotto 410 plates so I can pull each compressor out quickly. When travelling around Australia we are airing up & down all the time, & just want to get out of the flies, heat & dust.

I did later buy the ARB digital inflator gauge but is was slower inflating tyres, so went back to the old analogue gauge. It is 2psi over according to all my other gauges, & compared to a proper calibrated gauge.

If you bought the new brushless compressor each compress is about 1.7cfm at 90psi so a bit more than the old model. Visitor - Freelander owner
