It's a bit of a mess. Mine ran out over a year ago (for the in car wifi). And I did exactly what you did at that time. I drive around w/ my Macbook in the car and wanted a redundant backup in case my hotspot on the phone didn't work.
Here's the good news. Since JLR NA has not figured out how to charge you for this... tis free. IE -- once it runs out, as long as you still have "remote" active subscription -- which should go for 4 years from new in the US market -- you will have wifi enabled with data plan. I'm looking at my Remote app now, it says "Wi-Fi Enabled with Data Plan" Expired on June 30, 2022 and I can assure you my wifi still works perfectly. Even though your says expired - have you tried it? It should still be active. |
