Strange little software glitch, probably un resolvable!

l set the diamond button on the steering wheel to switch between sources

Namely radio and my phone, for my Spotify account.

Recently the diamond button just stops working, it will switch back to radio (if Spotify is manually selected on the screen) but won't select the other way.

Going into the settings it seems to have "forgotten" my preferences. l can reset them but it fails again next time l use the vehicle.

l don't even know what to try. ls there anything at all? Maybe have to wait for the next software update to see if that fixes it !!

Have you tried a Pivi reset and then reapply settings 110 XS 250 MY 23 Gondwana Stone, Cold climate pack and towbar

l haven't.

How do you reset the Pivi, is it hold down the button on the volume knob for 30 seconds?

Yep push in the volume button until it resets, it’s worth a go 110 XS 250 MY 23 Gondwana Stone, Cold climate pack and towbar

I'm not sure if this is linked, but I have a similar diamond button set to long press = source change.

Normally it does switch between carplay / DB radio as expected.

However, if I'm listening to the radio and a phone call comes in, or if I ask Siri to do something, it will switch to the phone operation BUT after the instruction is completed (eg, call hangs up), it glitches and doesn't return to playing the radio OR any of the carplay sources. It gets stuck in a kind of 'no source selected' state. No amount of diamond pushing solves it. I have to manually select the source from the pivipro screen.

It's not the end of the world, but it would be slicker if it defaulted back to whatever was being played before the phone interruption came in.

I am sure this is one for an over the air update.

lt's still doing it.
No big deal as you say. Hopefully the next software update may cure it.

ls it possible to move the apps on the screen so Spotify is on the first page?

Yes, settings , Home Screen, edit layout then drag apps from top of screen to position you want 110 XS 250 MY 23 Gondwana Stone, Cold climate pack and towbar

Thank you for the reply l will try that.

lt seems the issue l had with the diamond button was to do with my phone. l had the button set to switch between DAB, and Spotify via my phone.

l changed it to DAB and the Spotify app in the vehicle (which links to my Spotify account anyway) and it's been fine ever since.
lt may be something to do with the phone disconnecting when l take it away from the vehicle, and the system thinks that option doesn't exist any more.
