Bike carrier
Can someone recommend me a tow ball mounted bike carrier that will clear the spare wheel on my 2022 Defender?

The Buzz Rack l had on my old Defender won't work. l only really need to transport one mountain bike, although it would be useful if two would fit on.

If you're only carrying two bikes, this works well.

If not, MaxxRaxx has a version that will fit:

Thank you for the reply.

Unfortunately those bike carriers require a bolted tow ball where my Defender has a swan neck type.

How about a tow bar extension?

There was another L663 thread on this. Eiger Grey MY23 D250 SE with bits. Known as Noddy.

Someone here used this to bridge the gap. I cant remember who though.

For the life of me i can't remember if the additional 50mm ball bolts straight to the outer side or had a plate attached.

If you have e bikes or thinking about them as an option for the future then a wheels on mounting is the way to go, not suspended by the frame on the rear wheel.

I use this one with the extension that works well for heavy bikes.https://www.defender2.net/gallery/albums/userpics/25173/thumb_IMG_6610.jpeg
