Please elaborate.

What problem did you have with your turbo and what's the mileage on your Land Rover?

Model year 2022.
41.000 km. Vehicle serviced according to the service plan.
Turbo blown (according to mechanics in Tunisia small turbine).
I was on raid in Tunisian part of Sahara desert (we made 300+ km of pure sand driving). When the adventure was finished, I drove for good 370 km on tarmac roads, when suddenly the engine stopped and didn't start again. I was recovered to a nice garage in nearby big town (Sousse), where the turbo was changed (I had extremely good luck to get a new turbo in just two days). That's the story... Evil or Very Mad The bill was quite enormous ... Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad

That's bad news.
So it wouldn't drive at all with the defective turbo?

Was it covered by the warranty?

No, it didn't drive with defective turbo. I was lucky to manage to start it for a very short white in order to release parking brake to enable the loading/unloading on recovery truck.
Warranty...to be seen Bow down

Otherwise, before that unfortunate episode we've had wonderful times playing in the sand:

PS: This is what garage gave to me as a "souvenir" Confused The wrapped item in upper right corner is oil filter insert.

I always like it when the garage gives you the items they replaced. Obviously for the ordinary man/woman would not know what to do with it, but I think it is good to see evidence of thing actually having been done and needed to be done.

No, our raid was not organised by any professional. We did it (as some times before) by ourselves. But we did hire a local guide with his vehicle (the white Toyota).

Looking at the vid, should you not deflated those tires a lot more? Did some dunes when lived in the UAE and my Defender td5 did not really have enough power and the Range Rover was a little too heavy, but follow the locals we deflated tires till they were really bulgy. Obviously we had a good ARB compressor with us.

Personally I preferred Oman (rocky) over all that sand in the UAE.

Deflating tires a bit more: yes, you are right, I had them at approx. 1.3 bar. But I didn't have the courage to go lower Embarassed
The sand was not sand, it was powder. It haven't rained for months if not for years. Pain in the a.... for everybody, not just for me, old ...
