WTF is that and what does it cost? Tell someone you love them today because life is short. But shout it at them in German because life is also terrifying and confusing... |

Or for something with a little "extra" how about an Auto Taser: http://www.stungunweapon.com/autotaser2.html
Probably not legal in the UK? |

Who cares if its legal or not .Nicking peoples motors is not legal.Perhaps if some of these low life scum bags got a bloody nose as it were they may think twice. As corporal Jones would say" they don't like it up em" Its never over in my land rover.

Hope you don't mind but I'll post this info over on Landywatch, just to help spread the word. In terms of security - a lot depends on what you want to spend. For £100 or so, either of the pedal locks described look pretty good . Equally a steering wheel lock (Such as a Disklok, Stoplock pro or 4Tress) is another option. As a general rule, Thatcham approval of a security product is a good sign The steering locks mentioned above have or had that approval when I last checked. I don't believe that either of the pedal locks mentioned are Thatcham approved yet but that could just be as they're specifically moulded for Defenders rather than a universal security product. I think the guys that make Fekete's were testing it with the German motoring authorities. Anyhow, both of them look a sod to get off and that's what its all about.... make them think twice about even trying to nick it. As another possible deterrent, if you get LROI, December's edition SHOULD have an offer in there for a Thatcham approved window and bodypart marking kit from Retainagroup for around £35'ish. Members on this forum and Landywatch helped shape it's contents... you can read more about it on this link http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic7826.html Trackers are of course an excellent idea but I'd spend the money first of all on theft prevention Jon - 110 td5 [sold]. Currently Defenderless. |
