Compartment - Rear Stowage
Does anyone have one of these in their vehicle? Does this tray only work for non hybrid versions, and can it be retrofitted to a regular (non-commercial Defender 110)?

It appears to be specific to the Commercial Model, but cannot tell if it can be adapted to regular models. My interest is in adding a second battery in the rear compartment and this tray would be very helpful to doing that.

If you have one of these, could you help clarify a few things?

It appears to consist of the mounting skeleton (62226A, LR part # LR143080, LR156755, LR160068), and the tray (20104, LR part # LR143075, LR174578). Is this the case?

I am unsure if the cover (part 45520A, LR part # LR143064) is specific to this set up or if it is the normal cover with a hydraulic damper attachment.

Does it attach to the mounting skeleton in front of it, which would be under the rear seat area (part 62226B, LR part # LR143081)?

Thank you for any clarification you can provide.

This item WILL fit the Land Rover Defender L663 110 models (but not hybrid models because of batteries) - this is untested with coil spring models.

There is very little structure in the rear, near the rear seats edge, so I would say you need the frame as high-lighted in Blue.

I have fitted a sliding floor to mine with a hatch to access this wasted space. Which takes a much bigger aux battery.

Good Luck

Those are both identical to the one I listed from Hunters (they all come from the same place in China) but are £35 more expensive Confused Rolling Eyes Cheers Ian

When you remove the foam infill this is what you have .

This is what I did, whole cavity is under the wood floor with trap for access. The sliding floor has to be 'out' to gain this access.

Unfortunately, this doesn't really work for what I have in mind, as it sacrifices a lot of space. I'm hoping to remove the foam insert and take advantage of all of the space under it, specially since I have a V8 that does not have the hybrid battery system installed taking up space in that area.

Thank you very much for this. Having to use the forward skeleton to install the rear system won't work for my car, because I need the rear seats to remain, so unfortunately this appears to be a dead end for me. Perhaps others can take advantage of it.

This is what the V8 looks like in the back. No hybrid battery and tons of space. Just need to find a way to create a tray to fit a scecond battery, DC to DC charger, Inverter and mount it in a clean way.
