Defender Heated Seat wiring to base only
My original Land Rover heated seat has stopped working, having tried a different seat I've worked out it seems to be the backrest that's no longer working. The base is fine.

So I wonder (in the middle of summer), am I able to just bypass the back support and just connect my base to the seatbox plug. Is that fine / safe to do without ill effect?

I've the wiring / plugs already to do it so its only a few minutes to bypass it.

It is probably a broken wire on the temp sensor at the very base of the seat back heating element. A very easy repair 👍🏻👍🏻

I agree with Andy pretty common and easy enough to unclip the back cover and check.
