Personal choice but my 2-pence is that because silver parts can look like they are bare metal and unpainted, silver hinges on a black Def may look like you just haven't got around to painting them
If I was forced to have a contrast, I'd go grey but ensure I had a few other bits that matched (window blocks, etc), so there was a theme... to avoid the 'my hinges got nicked and all the auto breaker had was a silver Def for me to plunder' look 
But colour is personal and what do I know! (Aintree Green and I'm opting for black) |
