If you have a 90 ... jack and brace is coupled as one unit.

The '?' holes is for the recovery eye.

The yellow tool is the Misfuel Rest Tool.

Thanks for the quick replies!

Ok, so, no towing eye, no misfuel rest tool?

Or should these items be there? Because mine are not! I’ve got the jack and the locking wheel nut adapter socket, but nothing else! Current Garage...

Had to do exactly that on the Disco 4 this weekend. Keeps reappearing and I keep resetting it. Looks overly sensitive to me. Why would you put petrol in a Diesel anyway - are people that stupid?

Also annoyingly I had to look the function of this tool up IN THE MANUAL? Anything you cannot use intuitively with some basics street knowledge is a poor design in my book.

If I put an Ikea cupboard together and I had to revert to the instructions, I consider that an insult to my intellect (or a really poor design). So far I never had to open an Ikea instruction ever!

Had someone do that 2 weeks ago in HER freelander 2, SHE won't do that again.

If your Defender was delivered with the two permanent rear recovery eyes you will not have the screw in one as those eyes render it useless. If you have fitted the recovery eyes after delivery then you will have the screw in one as well

These two recovery eyes each side of my licence plate

Thanks all, it looks like it’s never had a towing eye as I understand the Carpathian had them fitted from the factory. Both towing eyes are there.
The question now is, should I not have one for the front?
And the misfuel reset tool, should I have that? Why would I not have that, is it because this one is petrol?
Might seem like a stupid thing to ask, but I can’t really find anything in the handbook! Current Garage...

Never mind the daft question about the front eye, found it in the handbook once I opened my eyes.

Above is a more accessibly skid pate.

Whilst the front recovery eye is present, its behind a bolt on plastic cover.

As far as I know the new Defender doesn't have a flap that needs resetting when somebody attempts to misfuel it, on a diesel there is a flap in the fuel filler neck that you can see when you take the cap off but the correct nozzle pushes the flap out of the way.

I don't have a reset tool in mine and I can't find anything in my manual about it! Mines a MY2022 diesel by the way.

Redroof you may have one of these in your toolkit also, it's to help when changing a wheel, you screw it onto a stud and it lets you get the others lined up Thumbs Up
