Tyres for my new Wolf steelies
Coming towards the end of a full refurb on my 90.

Just had the new (original) Wolf's painted same as body colour and ready to get some tyres fitted.
I've gone over budget on the refurb so need to reel in the tyre budget. Wanted to go for BFG's either M/T or A/T.
Now thinking Cooper ST Max to save some £'s. Anyone got any photos of these fitted? 235/85/16 the best size to give a chunky look would ya say? 21 Defender D300 H/Top

235 85 16's in my opinion, look best on a ninety, especially with wolfs. Check out the wolf wheel appreciation thread!

Have a look at Brooklyn Coachworks.

The 255/85/16 BFG muds look great on them.

Thanks, thats a good website. Prefer the look of the BFG's but they've got so expensive lately. 21 Defender D300 H/Top

BFG KO2'S have done me well on our everyday 110, nearly 70k miles on them and still plenty of tread but starting the howl rather. Not sure I can justify a new set at £230 each when you can get Duratracs for £140 or Toyo 255's for £135 each. Shame they've been a great tyre. James

I’m also trying to find tyres for wolf rims and really struggling with something in that cost vs quality bracket.

I’m glad it’s not just me looking at sizes other than 235 and 265 that seem to be de rigueur.

Even considering some 245s - anyone got thoughts / opinions?!

Personally not a fan of modern Cooper tyres, they all seem to crack and not last very well. Lots of other 235/85 tyres about.

There is loads of choice. Maybe you could give some guidance on what sort of budget you are realistically thinking of.

Note, not all rims will be able to take tyre widths from 235 to 265. The tyre needs to match the rim.
