Hi all,
I've sadly reached the decision to sell my 300tdi. Unfortunately, I’m simply not using it enough to justify the expensive of it sitting on the drive all year. I've owned it for 8 years, with 2 previous keepers, both local. It has 80,300 genuine miles on it but this may go up slightly. Annually serviced by me. MOT is due on 4 November 2023. A couple of advisories at the last MOT - rear crank oil seal and underseal on the brake pipes. The colour is Coniston green. Mechanically the vehicle is in really good condition although the bodywork needs some attention if you want it looking nice. Recent additions / maintenance items include:
Dinitrol “topped-up” every two years New brake callipers, discs and pads all round New front CV joints and stub axles New wheel bearings all round Many (but not all) new brake pipes Clutch pedal spring mod. Take-off boosts and tyres around 7,000 miles ago Bilstein B6 rear shocks Polybushes all round (orange) New A-frame ball joint Genuine Land Rover Expedition roof rack Alpine 133BT CD/radio (cables installed for rear speakers if you want to add these) Snorkel (non-genuine) Centre seat with previous cubby box included if you want to remove this Demister kit upgrade New Exmoor Trim drivers seat foam and cover Previous owner replaced the rear cross member Bad bits:
Rear crank seal is leaking slightly. It’s been like this since I had it and doesn’t appear to be getting worse Front bumper rusty I’ve probably forgotten a few things but overall it’s a lovely Defender and has never let me down. I’ll be sad to see it go but I’m sure the owner will be delighted. For sale at £8,000. I’m located a couple of miles east of Lincoln (LN3) if you wish to come a see it in the flesh.
