D90 pulling hard right when brakes applied
Hey friends I need some help on this. I recently put on sawtooth 16x8 and 30mm spacers on my defender. I did have it aligned . Today I noticed it does pull a littl to the right, but that’s not my main concern… when I hit the brakes it pulls HARD right. I’m f I don’t really hold the wheel I’m going right.

Thinking could just be a coincidence this is happening after the new wheels and tires… might be unrelated? Maybe my brakes are going or a bearing etc..? Any suggestions would be awesome thank you! 1989 Defender 90

Probably the problem was already there, but now accentuated by the wheel offsets.
I would look at the calipers / discs first. 1988 90 Hard Top, 19J Diesel Turbo, Shire Blue - Restoration ongoing

I agree with this. The spacers, wheels and tyres mean there is more leverage on the swivels and steering mechanism. As in it is easier for the tyres to turn the steering wheel.

But........ I would get under there and make sure that the wheel bearings, swivel pins/bearings, bushes on the radius arms, the track rod ends and steering drop arm ball joints are all good. Any one of these can create a pull to one side.

The other thing is if you have a spring lift then the steering castor will be out and that can also exacerbate the effect of worn steering and suspension components.
