Another Double Din Thread - apologies
Hi all, I've been looking for a double din change for a whilst, for my Puma dash.
It currently has one, but the quality is rubbish - fits badly, finish is coming off already etc. Can anyone recommend a good quality one where;
- gaps are even...edge on the top follows the angle of the dash (not 2 mm one end then 8mm the other - slight exaggeration but you get the idea)
- gloss black/Santorini
- preferably comes with a 7 switch with no round hole
- one whole piece that includes the vents and clock
- don't care if the vents move, but would prefer it they don't
Thanks in advance! 😀 and if you have photos it would be appreciated.

I've had the dual system where the top is separate from the bottom.

Changed to a single piece (ebay) but wasn't keen on finish.

Swapped for a Urban part a few years ago (all one piece with vents)

It still imho does not fit correctly, I've tried heating the vents behind and even cutting a bit off...

Pretty sure in the main its the head unit, I have a double din pioneer and its big, it also has a camera, 3 sets of RCA lead, a USB lead and dab Aerial and a mic coming out of the back. There is simply no room for it all.

I've took it apart I don't know how many time to get it better but its still not right. Its better and OK. Anyone jumping in car probably would not notice, but I do....

Basically where the yellow circles are is not 100% flush and I cannot move it back any further.

Thanks for the info. Same area I have problems with (yellow circles).
Difficult buying from the internet when the photos are small and you don't how good they would be. Not sure why the manufactures don't take a standard one, 3D scan it in, then modify it with a bigger hole/...unless the standard one doesn't fit that well.

I bought mine from mudstuff.. Good quality and no problems

There is info on their website... You need to ensure your head unit isn't too deep to get a proper fit. Look at their fitting instructions for info.. TD5 hardtop to Puma inspired Poptop - my build thread

Thanks Andy. If you get a few mins, please could you upload a photo of the horizontal bit on the sides as per Stacey007’s photo highlighted with yellow ellipse. TIA

I was leaning towards Mud Stuff’s one….
