Electric windows - DIY or Kit?
I'm looking to install electric windows into my Ninety.

It's got the Puma doors with the later inner door panels.

Kits are around £260+, but pricing up the parts individually comes in substantially cheaper.

CUH000082 - LH Electric Window Regulator and Motor £45.00
CUH000092 - As above RH £45.00
Td5/Puma Electric Window Plug connector with Loom Harness £35.00
YQQ000070 - Rubber Gaitors from bulkhead to door £10.00 pair
Carling Electric Window Switches £15 each
2.00mm2 Wiring, say £10.00

I have an auxiliary fuse box which I can connect into. I'll be using 20amp fuses.

Is there anything I'm missing?

must say, its nice to have power windows and locks. never realized how nice the feature is till after I added it

As a common fault is the wire in the door jam breaking, I would suggest that you fit plenty of loose wire around that area so that the wires are not stretched when the doors are opened. Defender doors open more and more each year, well mine do. Good luck.
