1HD-T Engine Swap in TDI300 130 DC HCPU
Hi folks,
The TDI300 has just died on my rig. It gave me quite a few headaches despite being rebuilt, so I am reluctant to put another in. I would also like more power, as long as it won't overstress the transmission.
I am thinking about a Toyota 1HD-FT that is locally available with decent mileage at a good price.
Has anyone done this swap before, or have any tips or advice for me?

First of all how has your existing engine failed and what headaches did the engine give you before it failed?
Just asking because generally the 300tdi is known as a dependable, long lasting engine if properly maintained.
