Central locking not locking
Hi All,
Been away from the forum for a while and now have a TD5 Defender 2004.

Am having a problem with the central locking.

I have to manually lock the car with the key but the fob will unlock the central locking. When unlocking there is power going to the actuator in the drivers door but there doesnt appear to be any going to the actuator to lock it?

Any help greatly appreciated.

Check wires from a post to door. A common fail point. There are connections there to do your tests.

As above, the wires from the body to the door are super flimsy but luckily it's pretty easy to graft in a new bit. I've done all of my doors now, if you have electric windows you get a major bonus 'cause they break as soon as you look at them as well! Oh woe, oh woe
My crusty old landrover,
It will not go.

The plot thickens….
There are two alarms on this landy. The original one and an autowatch. There are two fobs. When I use the original fob it unlocks and locks but the autowatch just unlocks now. It did both before. I wonder if the autowatch thinks something is still open?
