MAF
I have searched for this but can't seem to find an answer.

Can a MAF sensor get dirty and need cleaning? If it can can it be cleaned with contact cleaner or something?

Thanks

Boy

They can get dirty and they probably could be cleaned with a cotton bud and alcohol but not using high pressure air. Though they are pretty cheap to replace, about £30.

think they are about 38 quid plus the vodka and tonic but I have not long put a new one in and the old symptons are back again and I simply don't want to keep buying them.

The thing is with these hot wire MAF's is that they can go at any time, from new to lasting for years. When it goes it is done and is not repairable. Pot luck really as to how long it lasts............ Thumbs Up

Thanks I was not aware of that.

If I get time to get out the office and to the dealers I will go and get another. Are they kept on the shelves or to the dealers need to order them in?

I would give the parts department a phone as they may have them in stock, but they will probably need to order one for you. Thumbs Up
