Double DIN options
Double DIN conversions are great for fitting more modern head units with CarPlay, Android, SatNav, etc. However, I find their location too low for comfort, it's a bit of a squint to see the screen.

I found this https://soundstream.com/product/vrn-dd7hb/ which would bring the maps up to a useful level. However, it does not appear to support CarPlay nor DAB.

Have you considered a single DIN Alpine unit with external screen? Worth looking at their website as with some models you can set the screen to be in a position higher than a double din position would be.

Alpine have a Freestyle model https://www.alpine.co.uk/p/Products/navigation-systems6/x903d-f with a remote display. However it's very expensive.
