Croatia September 23
That's the ferry booked and just over three and half weeks to explore Croatia. Hopefully the td5 will be back together and the new metalian off road trailer will have arrived by then. Any suggestions on good off road routes/things to see/recommendations much appreciated. 23my p400e x dynamic hse, fuji white, towing pack, comfort and convenience, e diff, activity key, 3 zone climate, cold climate and a host of accessories. Now gone.

I spent a couple of days in Dubrovnik a few years ago. Dubrovnik is lovely, not exactly kings landing in GOT as they use a lot of cgi but still a lovely place to visit. We had a hire car so decided to do a day trip to Serbia and on to Montenegro. Turned out to be a lovely drive even though the weather wasn’t great. Would definitely recommend. Roads more suited to a defender too. 1989 Land Rover 110 CSW

Some lovely lanes in the hills above the coast from Rijeka southwards. Head inland and there are forested hills with tracks galore.

The Zeljava airbase is also worth a visit, it’s on the east of the country near the Plitvička lakes (which are also stunning). You can drive up the mountain to an abandoned radar station on the top, before visiting the runways and tunnels down below. Just watch for the police as it’s right on the border (it cuts right through the base) and is a hot spot for migration.

Yes,all text is in French. So,it is definately of help if you speak/understand French as there is a lot of additional information in the Road books as well as the directions.
The directions are pretty self explanatory, basicaly tulip diagrams.

I wasn't overly impressed by Croatia last year, to be honest. It was OK.
Slovenia next door, on the other hand, is stunning, wall to wall forest and lakes, fantastic forest tracks, clean, underpopulated and friendly.
My tuppence worth.

Im currently in Tirana having spent 2 weeks in Albania, can’t recommend it highly enough, the countryside is incredible, the people very friendly and the tracks are breathtaking, and it’s cheap as well.

I'm surprised. Croatia is an awesome country to drive around. Plenty to see and do. Loads of offroad tracks to drive, just keep an eye out for the minefield signs.

The rest of the EU is just a place to drive through to get me to Croatia. Been quite a few times now, first couple of times I was wearing green and got to drive lots offroad. The first time I was there, I drove 10K miles in 6 months proving the routes for future troops coming through. 110 D250 SE HT
