United Kingdom 1995 Defender 110 300 Tdi SW Epsom Green
gear change
Hi all when i change gear 1st to 2nd the gears crunch any ideas what problem is if any, if i do it slowly no crunch but if i do it when trying to accelerate away it crunches

2006 Defender 110 Td5 USW Zermatt Silver
Mine used to do this, until I put Difflock evo oils in. You can also a Fuchs oil that which is the same stuff.

Mine has always done this. Ive learnt to change gear slowly. Perhaps Ill try using the Difflock evo oils?

Which of their oils should I try in a 300tdi, Evo 1 or Evo 2?

my 300 was the same, just made sure i had clean oil in it and changes slow and smoothly. then no probs. BM52
