Alarm fob
The disarm button on the TD5 has stopped working, lucky we have a spare. Wondered if there is a fix for it? Also can I buy a spare fob and have it coded to the truck? Should say the arm button works fine.
Alarm only, no central locking if that makes a difference.
Many thanks. BORG - Bucks & Oxon 4x4 Response Group

You don’t need to get a new fob in most cases. You can get a new fob case/ shell and some come with new micro switch’s. The micro switch could be your issue. They are circa £5-£10 , just do a search on net.

Complete spare fobs can be purchased which someone with a Nanocom can code to your 10AS alarm module. Alternatively you can get them from remotekey and they can code for you. https://remotekey.co.uk/land-rover-keys-re...mobiliser/

+1 for Remotekey I bought one a couple weeks ago and it's brilliant. Really easy to pair with the truck and is far less bulky than a separate fob. TD5 hardtop to Puma inspired Poptop - my build thread

Thanks for the replies.
I have decided to order a new fob from the link. I have seen the repair kit and while its cheap I'm not sure I would be able to complete the soldering on the circuit board with success. I did take the circuit board out of the fob and the button does operate, as in it clicks when pressed, but doesn't send a signal. BORG - Bucks & Oxon 4x4 Response Group

Ordered and received the fob next day. New fob coded to the car within seconds and works fine, my original spare fob also still works. Was concerned that the programmer might have deleted the alarm and immobiliser so checked all that and everything works just as it should.
Happy with the outcome and would use Remote key again in the future if I need to. BORG - Bucks & Oxon 4x4 Response Group

Good to hear it all went well. A few people on here have used them for an integrated key and fob and reported similar good service.
