Lumbar support upgrade
Good morning everyone, I'm proceeding to install the 4-way lumbar support on my defender, which unfortunately was not present on my car.
I post this photograph of the wiring diagram, can someone who has the complete manual online please help me identify the connector (I would need the land rover code) that connects to the lumbar support pump?
thanks everyone for the help.

Marco

Amazing! I just bought a new defender but didn’t know it doesn’t come with lumbar support!

Do you have the part numbers? Also, do you need to buy the electrics as well or does it just plug into the existing buttons/control until on the side of the seat?

Was it difficult for you to install?

Any information on this would be super appreciated!

Thanks Marco, this is super helpful.

Could you help me with what you did for the wiring? Is there existing wiring that runs from the switch on the side of the switch or did you build your own? The thread says they needed to build their own, just wondering how difficult this might be as I’m not too familiar with electronics but willing to learn!

Do you need to modify the switch itself at all? Or was it just plug and play?

Would a left hand drive lumbar support work on a right hand drive version?

Hi, sorry for the delay in replying,
the right and left lumbar supports are the same, but they must be the ones in the photograph.
for the wiring it is quite simple, you just need to order the various expensive spare parts, pre-wired pins for switch: 41841145, pre-wired pins for lumbar pump connector: 418235, and the lumbar pump connector: LR070482.
then follow the wiring diagram that I included in the discussion, and insert the pre-wired pins on the appropriate slot number.
when you have all the material, if you need it, write to me privately..
