Rivet Plastic Snap in Fuel Tank Heat Shield - replacement
Hi,

I need to pull my fuel tank for replacing the rear crossmember and therefore I wanted to order a new set of rivets for the heat shield (rivet part number: WYQ100040)

it seems that this piece is sold out quite everywhere. Is there an alternative part that can do the trick? I checked out lrworkshop.com but am not certain. I managed to get one from LRparts.net but would still need to find 2 additional units according to the LRworkshop.com diagrams

thanks for the hint Td5 110 Station

As you now have one at hand you can measure the key elements of it then do a internet search on trim clips, trim fastener, plastic rivet clips etc. There is bound to be a generic one that is more or less the same.

Ps. Can you post a couple of pics and dimensions of the item, that would help.

Take some measurements from the one you have and you will likely find something similar here:

generic ones would go? thats great news. thanks for the hint. I was thinking of them but then again, its a fuel cell related thing so a little confusion remained. Td5 110 Station
