Judging by the Italian plates i guess it's likely to be built at their plant in Melfi, Southern Italy. I cannot say I'm impressed with the design of the dashboard. Defender 90XS SW

Apart from the grill it looks like a Vauxhall or Volvo.

Another EV vanity project that is the polar opposite of what the Jeep brand stands for.

Freedom - as long as you don't go further than the next charger
The road less travelled = as long as it is on tarmac near to a charging station
Adventure - as long as the weather is pleasant so range isn't reduced
To seek out new lands - well, best not to as not everyone is in a race to the bottom so wont have a charging infrastructure nor the ability to fix it in the field.

Nice colour though.

I know quite a few people who have made the switch to an electric vehicle. Without exception it's not going well.

My favourite glitch is the intelligent parking sensors. They come on automatically at slow speeds and if they think you're about to hit something, they put the brakes on. However, when pulling out of the drive which has a slight slope to the road, it seeing the road as an obstacle and stops. The only way to get off the drive is to crawl out at a snail's pace, this fools the system. The best part is there is no way to turn off the feature. The local dealer does not have the trained staff nor the diagnostic kit to investigate, the car has to be sent many miles away and it could take days.

None of the manufacturers seem to have worked out how best to fit as screen into the dashboard. Always ends up looking as though they forgot about it, then bolted one on at the last moment.
As for touch screens in a vehicle - no thanks.

Looks like the styling queues have been taken from the New Defender... Really quite similar.

Good design is timeless.

User Interface design based upon a touchscreen is wholly unsuitable for a vehicle. Fixed position buttons are easily visible and provide feedback when pushed. That means they can be used without looking.

A touch interface provides no feedback so can't tell if you've pushed or not without looking away from the road. Worse still, the location of regularly used buttons can move at the whim of a software update.

As for just sticking a screen on top of the dashboard - that's just crap. It should be properly integrated rather than looking like an afterthought.

Parking sensors of course, having absolutely nothing to do with how the vehicle is powered, but a good opportunity to dump on EVs in general?

You do know that Diesel and Petrol powered modern Land Rovers also do that if you have ticked the rear crossing traffic detection system box? It’s works really well too. Pangea Green D250 90 HSE with Air Suspension, Off-road Pack, Towing Pack, Black Contrast roof , rear recovery eyes, Front bash plate, Classic flaps all round, extended wheel arch kit and a few bits from PowerfulUK Expel Clear Gloss PPF to come
2020 D240 1st Edition in Pangea Green with Acorn interior. Now gone - old faithful, no mechanical issues whatsoever ever but the leaks and rattles all over the place won’t be missed!
