Cape to Cape
So 25 Years ago this week, I jumped on a plane down to Namibia to pick up my Camel 110 that I'd sent down to Walvis Bay in a container a month earlier. The next year and a half or so was spent driving from Cape Town up to the North Cape of Norway.

A few years later I sold the truck to a kiwi mate who drove it back to South Africa from the UK and then across Australia before getting back to NZ. He still has it.

Ah, the good old days! A Camel Defender looks so right in that environment.

Ahhh, Epupa Falls, one of my favourite places.

I was based there for 3 months , looking after expedition groups that were travelling in the region.
Would have a dip in the falls every couple of days Smile.

How far does the tarmac road go now?

There is a great drive along the river east from there.

Did the drive to the east ( the river one) As for the tarmac it only goes to Opuwo, the rest is river beds / passes & some great sand sections ( as you probably know)

Looking into residency for Namibia & some land Thumbs Up

Great place, my brother lived out there for 4 years and I spent 18 months there, mostly working on expeditions for Raleigh International.

Would love to get my 130 back out there Wink
