Sticky solenoid on a TD5
Hello,
I've got a starter on my 2004 TD5 that occasionally needs a good tap from a blunt instrument. I'm assuming that I have a sticky solenoid....has anyone got a recommend for the brand of repair kit I should buy? Seem to be many similar ones around £15 to £20. Is there any difference? It always happens when I'm in a wet field!
Thanks for any help
Cheers

There is very little difference. Or at least that is what I thought when I did Miffys solenoid. It's a nice easy job Thumbs Up

Thanks for that...it looks like the same photo to me, but with a dozen different sellers. Hopefully will save me lying in a field on my back wielding a hammer....although I am a landrover owner so it is part of the deal!

The technical name is Land Rover yoga

I got my rebuild kit from JGS4x4 and although the photos looked the same, there was a slightly different part number for the Discovery vs the Defender TD5 kit (as well as a price difference). Not sure if that is just profiteering because a lot of the other ones I saw on ebay etc just said TD5
